Each year, every club and every Area hosts four speech
contests. There will be an abundance of opportunity in the next six months to be a judge in at least one contest – and being suitably trained and familiarised with the process will ensure you get asked, and comfortable to say “yes”.

You should come to this training if:

• You would like to be a judge for the first time in the next year,
• You’re keen on refreshing and updating your skills as a judge,
• You’re a contestant looking to understand what those judges will be looking for.

Do you want to take your Judging skills to the next level as a Chief Judge? Stay an extra hour, and Lesley Storkey will walk through everything you need to know to be a successful Chief Judge:

* Selecting your judging panel

* The documents and forms you’ll need, and

* Exactly what briefings you need to be aware of

When is it happening?

This will be a dual session on Sunday 30th August. The Judges training will run from 2pm – 4pm, and an optional additional hour for Chief Judges from 4pm-5pm.

Both sessions will be run by Lesley Storkey DTM.
