To achieve the distinction of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) is a goal that all Toastmasters strive towards through our ‘communication’ journey.  Some of us achieve the goal after years and years of hard work, and others achieve it quickly, after a lot of hard work.

It is rare to see a Toastmaster achieve this goal twice.  District 69 has a handful of Distinguished Toastmasters who are doubly distinguished, and Serendipity Club’s own Dee Douglas recently joined this elite group of members who have gone above and beyond the dizzy heights of DTM, when she was presented with her 2nd Distinguished Toastmaster recognition.

Dee is presented with her second DTM award by Eastern Division Governor, Jason Topp.

Dee is presented with her second DTM award by Eastern Division Governor, Jason Topp.

Dee is a shining example to all of us, of someone who makes use of every opportunity to grow and to give back to the greater Toastmaster community.  She is a regular presenter at all levels of the executive, and both within her own club and further afield, Dee is well-known and highly regarded for the time and care she puts into every presentation.  Her work gives other Toastmasters a benchmark to strive towards in our communication skills as well as providing an example of giving back and helping others achieve their goals.

Dee is Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence in action, and we congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.
