As we step confidently into the 2024–25 Toastmasters program year, we pause to reflect on the remarkable efforts of those who led us through the previous one, and to extend a heartfelt welcome to our incoming leadership team.
At our recent changeover celebration, we honoured the contributions of the 2024-25 leaders whose commitment, creativity, and passion helped shape a successful year across our District. Their dedication has laid the foundation for even greater things to come.
Among the evening’s highlights was the presentation of our most prestigious awards:
🏆 Area Director of the Year – David Boyle
David’s energy, attention to detail, and unwavering support of his Area’s clubs made a significant impact throughout the year. His ability to lead with empathy and results-driven focus truly set him apart.
🏆 Division Director of the Year – Jessica Dau
Jessica has been a powerhouse of encouragement and organisation. Her strategic vision and inclusive leadership created an environment where members and clubs alike could thrive in Pasifika Division.
🏆 Toastmaster of the Year – Thomas Krafft
Thomas embodies the spirit of Toastmasters! Always showing up with enthusiasm, mentoring others, and always being willing to go the extra mile. His presence is felt far beyond his club, and this award is a fitting recognition of his contributions both as training manager in the past year and the consistent effort for years.
Of course, no celebration would be complete without our light-hearted tradition — the passing of the feather duster, symbolising the sweeping changes and clean slates each new year brings. This year, Lou Cervetto accepted the feather duster with grace and good humour, ready to take on the challenges and joys of leadership in true Toastmasters spirit.
To our outgoing team: thank you for your time, heart, and hard work. You’ve inspired us all.
To our incoming leaders: welcome aboard! We’re excited to see your ideas in action and to support you as we work together to empower members and grow our clubs.
Here’s to another incredible year in Toastmasters!
