The first session is on Saturday 12 June. If you do not hold an executive position, you are still welcome to participate in COT. Check Members > Resources > Club Officer Training on this site for registration details.
Distinguished Club Programme (DCP) – The DCP is one way that the District and Toastmasters International can measure the progress and achievements of clubs. It is pleasing to see that we already have 41 clubs that have achieved distinguished status including 17 that have achieved President’s Distinguished. Congratulations to all those clubs.
A check of the reports shows that we have a significant number of clubs that could achieve distinguished with one or two more members or with just one or two more education awards. Please check that all Pathways awards have been claimed in Club Central. Pathways does not data match with Club Central, the results have to be recorded separately to count towards your club’s DCP. Do you have visitors who are just waiting to be invited to join your club?
Beat the Clock – Beat the Clock is a membership building campaign now underway. How many new members can your club attract? Five new members between 1 May and 30 June will help you to qualify and add to your DCP.
Incoming Club Officer lists need to be lodged with TI as soon as possible. This needs to be done so that all club leaders have access to Club Central on the TI web site. This also contributes towards your DCP goals for next year.
District End of Year Celebration – As this Toastmasters year comes to a close, it is time to celebrate the year that was. There have been many successes in spite of the challenges. Members can be proud of the lessons learned, the achievements gained and the sustainability of our members, clubs and District.
There will be an online celebration and change over on Friday 25 June from 7.30pm to 9pm. Check the News page on this site for more details and the registration link. All members are invited to log in to the event. We will be limiting the formalities so that we have a fun evening of reflection and celebration.
It will also be an opportunity to meet and greet the incoming leadership team.
Region 12 End of Year Celebration – All members are invited to attend the online Region 12 End of Year Celebration on Sunday 13 June. This is an opportunity to network and celebrate with members across all districts in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Malaysia. Register here for this event.
Thanks to every member of District 69 for your contributions towards the sustainability of our clubs and district.
“I don’t know the source of these quotes, but they inspire me.”
It has been a difficult year, but “every time we discard a negative, we make room for another positive.”
“A positive mind finds opportunity in everything. A negative mind finds fault in everything.”
Let’s move forward with positivity for the future. It is in our hands.
