Corroboree
The Corroboree is the quarterly, award winning, newsletter of District 69, aptly named from an aboriginal word meaning a dance festival held at night to celebrate tribal victories or other events.
Newsletter Submissions
Submissions are warmly welcomed into our magazine and should be sent to Corroboree Editor, Joycelyn Brent.
Please submit anything you have for publication in the Corroboree direct to the Editor regardless of published closing dates. All submissions will be gratefully received although publication in a specific issue is not guaranteed.
The Corroboree is OUR newsletter.
Here’s what we’d love to see from you:
- Club articles and photos
- Speaking hints and tips
- Educational articles and how to’s
- Event photos and reports
- Selections of interesting photos with captions
- Contest results
- Membership building ideas that worked for you
- What works at your meetings to make them interesting and fun
Your support in making the Corroboree an interesting Newsletter is needed.
An Editor can only do so much on their own and if there are no submissions coming in then the Newsletter content will be significantly reduced. The Editor should not have to spend valuable time trying to find suitable content.
Photo Submission Guidelines
Please reduce them in size so they can be inserted into the Newsletter without too much manipulation by the Editor.
A good size is 200px x 200px and can be in JPG, GIF, PNG or TIF format. An indication for you would be to have your pictures no larger than the one to the right on this page. Remember to provide a caption for your photo, they make the photos so much more interesting to others.
There is a free online image editor, Pixlr, which may assist you.
Please do the right thing and submit your graphics properly resized.
