We all like a challenge, don’t we? We must do because Toastmasters constantly raises new challenges for us and our clubs.
Here is one that may prove quite difficult to beat. It is issued by Graham Miller of Compass Toastmasters in Toowoomba.
‘Who can beat Compass Toastmasters Club with their record of 33 Youth Leadership and 21 Speechcraft courses since our charter in 1990?
This has not included an additional 10 Public Speaking Workshops and 9 Youth Leadership Workshops which are only one day sessions.’
That makes 73 courses. I thought I would hear more and I didn’t have long to wait. Here is what I received from Area 18 Governor Rod Luck:
Mary Sweeny, Stafford Heights Secretary and long term member states that based on club archives, Stafford Heights has run no less than 88 courses.
So, the bar has been raised and congratulations to Stafford Heights Toastmasters Club!
