Exciting Toastmasters Meeting in Brisbane

Brisbane North Toastmasters and Chermside Communicators are holding a joint meeting on Tuesday 17 January 2012.

All visitors are warmly welcomed.

Venue is Aspley Respite Care Centre, 477 Robinson Road West, Aspley – next door to St Dympnas School.

Date Tuesday 17 January 2012 at 7:00pm for a 7:15pm start and finish at 9:30pm

Triple Boomerang Awards for 2010-2011

Immediate Past District Governor Bruce George has announced the following recipients of the Triple Boomerang Award:

Twelve members will be receiving the District 69 Triple Boomerang award on Saturday night at the annual Hall of Fame.

This award is for members who have achieved two educational awards and sponsored at least three members.

Smedley Award

Congratulations to the 7 Clubs which have achieved the Smedley Award- Broadwater, Noosa, Southport, Gold Coat City Council, Sunnybank, Waterloo and Willows. Smedley Award is given to clubs which have 5 or more new members during the months of September and October, in memory of Raplh C Smedley founder of Toastmasters International. Well done to these clubs- 10 Icebreaker and CC ribbons are theirs as a reward.

Townsville Club wins Golden Club Award 2010-2011

Past District Governor, Bruce George DTM has announced the winner of the Golden Club Award for 2010-2011.

Townsville will be one of several clubs to be recognized for their achievement in 2010-2011 at our Hall of Fame to be conducted on Saturday night at SAC 12th November

Congratulations to Leigh-Anne Metcalfe who as President encouraged her members to believe in her vision of achieving Golden Club.

All contest Chairman scripts are now available for printing from our website. Also, the “When you are the Chief Judge” and “When you are the Assistant to the Chief Judge” is also available. They have the latest Toastmasters International logo as a watermark and 2011 in the footer, to ensure you have the latest version.

Great News.

As promised by Gary Schmidt, past World President, when he visited our district in 2009, Toastmasters International has now made all contest judging forms, including certificates, available to members.

To download forms, you must go to Toastmasters International website and login.

Then if you access: http://www.toastmasters.org/MainMenuCategories/Shop/SpeechContestMaterials/Kits.aspx

If you are logged in as a member, you will find that the download cost of judging forms, competition forms and certificates is zero.

However, you must proceed through checkout. Forms can be downloaded immediately but they will also be placed in your “My Profile” area for download whenever required.

NOTE: The forms are only available for members.
