Downloading the forms will guarantee that you’re using up-to-date forms for your speech contest.

Division Governor of the Year

At last night’s District 69 change over function, John McLean, the Northern Division Governor took out the coveted title of Division Governor of the year.

Praised for easy-going style and friendly manner, John was chuffed and surprised to win the title. John is a conscientious Toastmaster with a strong commitment to District goals and well-liked by his Northern Division peers.

Congratulations John McLean, Division Governor of the Year!

Technology Saving You Time

This year clubs only have to submit their club officer lists to Toastmasters International, not to District 69 as they have had to in previous years.

This year Toastmasters International have armed Districts with the ability to access this information to make up the directory.

It’s a great big step as District Directory collation and updating was once a huge undertaking.

For clubs, the important thing is to make sure all members contact information is up to date on the Toastmasters International website, and that your club officers are correctly listed.

Name Badges

Clubs are advised to continue to submit orders for badges as normal.

New badges are totally different to anything that we have had in the past.
There are no attachments as too many members were leaving on old attachments and in WHQ opinion were defacing the look of the badges.
If you want to keep your badge current with your up to date award level you will need to get another badge.

District 69 Humorous Speech Contest

With his hilarious speech about an interaction with a client about dentures, Keith Doonan had the District convention goers in stitches with his speech entitled “Taming of the Tongue”. Congratulations to him as our 1st place winner.

Caboolture Toastmasters Will Celebrate 25 Years on 9th July 2011 – Everyone is Invited

On Tuesday 20^th May 1986, a demonstration meeting was held at the Library of the Caboolture State High School to gauge the general interest in forming a club within the area.

At the fourth meeting on 23^rd June, the Standard Constitution and By-Laws of Toastmasters International were adopted.

Meetings thereafter were held at several locations, finally finding the Top Hat Restaurant in March 1988 as a somewhat permanent meeting place.

Caboolture Toastmasters Club has been and will continue to be a strong supporter of District Officer roles.

Since Charter, the Club has had members filling the roles of District Sgt at Arms, Division Governor and Area Governor, this one more than its fair share.

The club was sponsor of Caboolture Shire Council Club and assisted numerous other clubs in close proximity in gaining their Charters.

One of the highlights of the Club’s history was organizing the 2004 “Spring Conference” at the Caboolture RSL. This special night introduced the “Wedding of Dave and Mabel” which was very entertaining and highly amusing, and is still is discussed throughout the District.

The club now meets at the Caboolture Bridge Club. Fun meetings, a core of experienced members (3 DTM’s), excellent programming and a group of younger, energetic members wanting to experience the assets of Toastmasters is what attracts members to join Caboolture Toastmasters.

It’s now 25 years, and the journey continues…..
