2010 Southern Division Conference

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I would like to extend an invitation to all District 69 Toastmasters and their guests to attend our stimulating Southern Division Conference to be held on Sunday 21 March 2010 at the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club, a wonderful venue just over the NSW border.

This is an opportunity for members of Southern Division to support their representatives who have worked so hard to get to this level of Speech competition.  It is also an opportunity for other District 69 members and their guests to come see what we have to offer…A Warm Welcome and Absolutely Brilliant Speakers of course !

It is also an opportunity to renew friendships and make new ones in a friendly atmosphere because the day is about relaxing, enjoying the speeches, being inspired by our dynamic guest presenter, former world champion rugby player, Mark Edmondson who has put his speaking skills to practical good use by becoming a Motivational Speaker with his own company Edmondson Dynamics.

Not only do we have a day full of competent, interesting speech, we also have the opportunity to tickle our taste buds and share a fabulous buffet lunch comprising roasts, seafood, salads AND a dessert bar.

And there is more, our Raffle Queen; Janet Coleman has gathered in excess of $1000 worth of prizes. She tells me she is still collecting more to make this a bumper, value for money raffle.  There are Vouchers for Bunning’s, Myers and a book store as well as passes to parks, overnight accommodation, wine and a host of other goodies. “Be There or Be Square” Janet says.

Again, I extend a warm southern invitation to everyone to join us for a day of Fun and Friendship on March 21.
